EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Ysleta Independent School District has appointed two new central office directors ahead of the next school year.
Richard Couder will now be the new director of preparation at the university and Martin Segovia will be the deputy sports director. The two began their careers as educators, according to a press release from YISD.
Couder started his career in 2009 as a teacher and later worked as a college prep advisor and facilitator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from St. Edward’s University and a master’s degree in public administration from Texas State University.
Segovia began his career in 1995 teaching social sciences and physical education in Garden City, Kansas. He has also served as a Family Literacy Liaison Officer, Coach, Assistant Director, Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Sports. He received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a Master of Science from Kansas State University.
