Several administrators suddenly “split up” from Vista Ridge High School

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – Several administrators and an administrative secretary will not be returning to Vista Ridge High School, District 49 said in an email to parents this week, but it’s not entirely clear why .

The email confirms that Assistant Principal Angela Duca, Assistant Principal Sarah Ricci, Athletic Director Brandon Monson and Building Administrative Secretary Tracey Sousa no longer work at Vista Ridge High School but have not said why . The email says they have been “separated” from District 49.

In an email sent to parents, the district says interim administrators are in place to help until the district can fill the roles over the next few months.

According to school principal profiles that have since been removed, Ducam Ricci and Monson all started working at Vista Ridge in 2019.

13 Investigations contacted a spokesperson for District 49 who did not confirm why the trustees and secretary were no longer with Vista Ridge.

Not all of the District 49 school board members also responded to any questions about the leadership change.

We have contacted all of the former Vista Ridge High School employees, but they have not responded to our messages.
