The East Montgomery County Improvement District Complex at 21575 Hwy. 59, Ste. 205, New Caney, will be transformed into a new event location called The Atrium Center, according to a June 11 press release from EMCID.

The venue can be booked for meetings, conferences, weddings, birthdays, birthday parties and community events. The 20-year-old building will also be upgraded to feature new carpet, event space furniture and an expanded outdoor space near the pond and fountains, the statement said.

“For 20 years, the EMCID complex has primarily served as office space for us and others and has hosted many lunches, weekend events and community meetings,” said Frank McCrady, President and CEO. management of EMCID. “Although our building has been closed to the public for a year, we have had time to assess the building and are currently making repairs and improvements to the facility. We believe the time has come to reintroduce our venue to the public with an emphasis on organizing events. “
