37-year-old Meadowbrook High School teacher dies, school officials say

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) – A missing teacher who was last seen quitting his job at Meadowbrook High School on Friday has died. According to authorities in Chesterfield, Goodman was found dead in Richmond.

In an email, Meadowbrook’s principal, Dr. Marcie Terry, informed the parents that one of their teachers, Daniel Goodman, had died.

“At this time, we have no specific information to share, but please be aware that our Student Support Services team is here to support and speak to this sudden news,” wrote Dr. Terry.

Chesterfield County Police said his death was under investigation by the Richmond Police Department, but no foul play is suspected.

Goodman, 37, was reported missing on Sunday. Chesterfield authorities said he was last seen leaving Meadowbrook High School on May 21, driving a silver 2010 Ford Fusion with Virginia plates stating “XME-9250”.

He’s a white man about 6 ft 1 weighing about 180 pounds, with blond hair.
